Veteran actress Farida Akhtar Babita recently enjoyed a scenic road trip in Canada with members of legendary actor Nayakraj Razzak’s family.

Travelling from Quebec to Jasper, Babita was captivated by the natural beauty along the Atlantic coast. Sitting in the back seat, she lowered the car window to admire the sea, recorded videos and shared her excitement with her companions.

At the wheel was Nazli Hossain Oishi, Razzak’s granddaughter. Oishi’s father, Rawshan Hossain Bappi, Razzak’s second son, sat beside her, while his wife Nahid Hossain Happy and Babita travelled in the back.

The group set out at 7am, driving along the Atlantic coast. In a video, Babita expressed her amazement at the view, saying, “We are all travelling from Quebec along the Atlantic Ocean. What a beautiful sea! Oh my goodness… it is incredible!”

Babita also introduced the family members travelling with her and shared glimpses of the journey. She later said they were about an hour and a half away from Jasper.

After reaching Jasper, her excitement continued. Standing by the sea, she said, “Jasper. Wonderful! We are here.” She then spoke to her son Anik over a video call.

Babita travelled to Canada around two months ago to spend time with Anik, who lives in Kitchener. Meanwhile, Bappi has been living in Toronto with his family since 2013. Whenever Babita visits Canada, she also meets Bappi’s family.

Three days earlier, the two families had travelled together to Quebec. After spending some time there, they continued their journey towards Jasper.

The trip also carried emotional significance for Babita because of her long-standing relationship with Razzak’s family. The two families maintained close ties for years, with regular visits and shared family occasions.

Babita said Razzak’s opinion was important to her in several major decisions in both her career and personal life. Remembering the late actor, she said, “Razzak bhai was not only a hero on screen. To me, he was a true hero in real life too.”

She also described her bond with Bappi as an extension of that old family relationship.

“Bappi is also like my child. Because our two families have been visiting each other since childhood, our relationship is very much like a family bond,” Babita said.

Although Razzak’s elder son Bapparaj and younger son Samrat are more familiar to audiences, Bappi never pursued acting. He has been living in Canada with his family since 2013, and Babita’s latest visit gave her another opportunity to spend time with them.
