A Dhaka court has showed Salman F Rahman, Anisul Huq and Dr Dipu Moni arrested in a case filed over attempt to murder one Md Sohel Rana in Mohammadpur area of the capital during the mass uprising.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan passed the orders on Wednesday as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to show them arrested in the cases.
The court also showed former senior secretary NM Ziaul Alam arrested in the Atiqul Islam murder case filed with Kafrul Police Station.
According to the case documents, on August 5, 2024, Md Sohel Rana, 38, joined anti-discrimination rally in Mohammadpur intersection.
Miscreants attacked the rally and Sohel Rana was shot in his thigh. He was taken to a hospital in a local hospital where he underwent treatment.
On June 11 this year, Sohel filed the case with Mohammadpur Police Station.
In addition, a man named Atiqul Islam was shot on July 19, 2024, behind BRTA office in Kafrul. He was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him dead.
A case was filed in this connection on December 23.
