Atiqur Rahman Ruman has been appointed as additional press secretary to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The Ministry of Public Administration announced the appointment issuing a gazette notification signed on Wednesday by Mohammad Nur-e-Alam, deputy secretary of the Contract and Foreign Employment Branch.
According to the notification, Atiqur Rahman has been appointed on the condition that he relinquish any professional, business, or employment ties with government, semi-government, private institutions, or organisations.
He will join at the final stage of the Grade-2 pay scale. The notification further stated that his appointment is contractual, effective for the prime minister’s tenure or until her satisfaction whichever comes first.
Other terms of the appointment will be determined by the contract agreement. The notification added that the order was issued in the public interest.
