Following the International Crimes Tribunal’s death sentence for ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for crimes against humanity during last year’s July uprising, Law Adviser Asif Nazrul expressed his satisfaction on social media.

On Monday afternoon, Nazrul posted on his verified Facebook page, saying “Sheikh Hasina sentenced to death. Shokor Alhamdulillah.”
The post came shortly after the tribunal handed the death sentence to Hasina and former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, while former IGP Abdullah Al-Mamun received a five-year prison term.
