Visa Asia Pacific President Stephen Karpin is expected to visit Bangladesh from Monday to Wednesday, underscoring the country’s continued momentum as a digital economy and its importance within Visa’s regional strategy.
He will be accompanied by Group Country Manager for India and South Asia Suresh Sethi, said a press release.
During the visit, Karpin will meet with leaders from government, financial institutions, fintechs, merchants and the broader payments ecosystem to discuss opportunities to accelerate digital commerce, strengthen payment security and support the next phase of Bangladesh’s digital transformation.
Karpin leads Visa’s business across one of the world’s most diverse regions, advancing long-term growth strategy, deepening client partnerships and driving innovation across digital payments, cross-border commerce, AI and cybersecurity.
Bangladesh is rapidly advancing its digital payments landscape through accelerated adoption of digital financial services, a growing e-commerce sector and continued investment in financial infrastructure, emerging as one of the region’s most dynamic growth markets.
The visit reflects Visa’s longstanding commitment to Bangladesh and its focus on helping consumers, businesses and economies thrive through trusted payment technology and ecosystem partnerships.
