Anshula Kapoor shared emotional moments with her family as she prepared to marry her longtime boyfriend Rohan Thakkar at a series of pre-wedding celebrations in Mumbai.
The Kapoor family hosted a chooda ceremony for Anshula on Sunday, 5th July, according to NDTV report.
The event brought together close family members and several guests from the Hindi film industry. Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and Varun Dhawan attended the celebrations alongside family members.
A picture from the ceremony showed Anshula Kapoor in tears as she hugged her brother Arjun Kapoor. In another image, Arjun Kapoor made a playful crying face while teasing his sister during the emotional moment.
Arjun Kapoor shared a series of photos from the ceremony and wrote, “A lot of emotions, a lot of happiness… and this is just the beginning. Started with mehendi, ended with even fuller hearts.”
Anshula Kapoor also posted moments from the celebrations. She wrote, “Chooda. Kalire. Blessings. The moment it all started to feel real.”
She and Rohan Thakkar will get married on Monday in the presence of family and friends. The wedding celebrations will continue with a cocktail party expected to host several members of the Hindi film industry. Guests will follow a “modern Indian” dress code for the event.
The wedding festivities began on June 21 with a Mata Ki Chowki hosted by Rohan Thakkar’s family. Members of the Kapoor family, including Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Sunita Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, attended the event.
Anshula later shared a video from the ceremony and wrote, “An evening filled with Devi’s blessings, love, and enough dancing to last us until the wedding.”
Anshula Kapoor and Rohan Thakkar first met on a dating app. Rohan proposed to her last July at Central Park in New York City. The couple later held an engagement party in Mumbai in October last year.
Close friends and family attended the engagement ceremony, including Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor.
