Aparajito 24 Foundation organised a workshop on Sunday, 7 June 2026, in Banani DOHS, Dhaka, to provide mental well-being and psychological support to survivors wounded in the July 2024 uprising, the foundation said in a press release. The day-long session, conducted by Dr Abdullah Hasan of New York University Langone Health, included participants from across the country and focused on coping with trauma, building psychological resilience, stress management, and family support systems.

Dr Parveen Rahman, President of Aparajito 24 Foundation, said rehabilitation is not only about medical or financial aid but restoring dignity, hope, and the opportunity to reintegrate into society. “Our goal is to ensure affected individuals feel they are not alone,” she said. The programme offered survivors a safe environment to discuss their experiences and learn techniques to support long-term mental well-being.

The workshop marked the 10th mental healthcare session organised by the foundation. Participants included Shainur Mia from Habiganj, Noor Hossain from Mirpur, Dhaka, Sabbir Ahmed from Mogbazar, Robel Hossain, Junayed Ahmed, and Mizan Ahmed, alongside other July Movement survivors and their family members.

A day-long family reunion was held on Saturday in Gazipur, bringing survivors and their families together for sports, recreational activities, and mutual sharing of experiences. To date, the foundation has assisted 50 affected individuals and directly supported 164 family members nationwide through its integrated rehabilitation model, which includes medical aid, livelihood support, temporary accommodation, and emergency humanitarian assistance.

M Mustajib Haider, General Secretary of Aparajito 24 Foundation, also addressed the workshop, while participants shared their experiences of injury and recovery. Mizan Ahmed, a 19-year-old who lost an eye at Babna Point in Sylhet, said the workshops helped him express feelings and regain confidence and mental strength.

The foundation reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting affected and injured individuals through an integrated rehabilitation framework, enabling them to move forward in life with dignity and confidence.
