Aparajeyo claimed the CCIDCM T20 Challenge Cup title after a thrilling five-wicket victory over Agrani at the Cricketers’ Academy ground in Dhaka.
Chasing 156, Aparajeyo had a shaky start, losing four wickets for just 69 runs in 12.2 overs. The team’s hopes were revived by a crucial partnership between Salehin Rifat Sader and Tauhid Khan, who added 70 runs for the fifth wicket. Sader finished unbeaten on 40 off 16 balls, hitting four fours and three sixes, and was named player of the match for his match-winning innings. His partner Rakik Islam Shrabon contributed 15 off seven balls. The captain, Tauhid Khan, scored 45 off 35 balls before departing.
Earlier, Agrani set a total of 155 for eight in their 20 overs. Mohammad Rezaul Karim top-scored with 43 runs at a strike rate of 91, while Rahanu Islam Suhin added 31 from 14 balls. Riazul Molla contributed 20 runs off seven deliveries, and Abir Hossain scored 13. For Aparajeyo, Masmain Sagar took three wickets for 43 runs, while Raihan Uddin and Asaduzzaman Prince claimed two wickets each. Ratan finished with three wickets for 29 runs, and Abir Hossain added one more for 18 runs.
