Alliance Finance PLC (AFPLC) has extended its support to the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) by contributing to its ongoing skill development initiatives for people with disabilities, as part of AFPLC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.
A brief ceremony was held recently at CRP’s Savar premises, where Kanti Kumar Saha, CEO of AFPLC, presented the contribution to Valerie Ann Taylor, the Founder of CRP.
Since its establishment, CRP has been working to ensure the inclusion of people with disabilities into mainstream society. Many individuals with disabilities in Bangladesh struggle to access financial resources needed to engage in income-generating activities, often resulting in economic hardship and social marginalisation.
To address these challenges, CRP provides comprehensive rehabilitation support, including donor-funded skills development training and in-kind assistance after completion of the training.
These interventions help beneficiaries build confidence and become economically self-reliant.
The event was also attended by Tasnim Zarin, Donor Liaison Officer; Md. Mizanur Rahman, Head of Finance and Salim Rahman, Deputy General Manager–Rehabilitation Wing of CRP and Navila Hasan, Deputy Manager – Brand, Communication and Corporate Affairs of AFPLC.
