A new AI-generated music release has been launched ahead of Pohela Baishakh, bringing a technological experiment into this year’s Bengali New Year celebrations.
Titled ‘Digital Baishakh’, the song combines traditional cultural themes with modern digital production tools, marking one of the season’s more unconventional musical entries.
The project was developed by IT and production firm MusicFlux Studio. While the lyrics and core composition were created by human contributors, artificial intelligence was used to generate the vocal output and assist with arrangement.
Creator Shah Imraul Kayes said the system was trained on Bangla folk music, rural soundscapes and Baishakh-inspired melodies before being guided through prompts to produce the final track. He added that the aim was to retain a cultural feel while exploring new production methods.
According to the team, the AI-generated vocals were designed to reflect both a contemporary sound and the traditional character of Bengali music.
