Actress Shabnam Faria has revealed why she rarely appears on podcasts or talk shows: she finds it uncomfortable to watch her own interviews online.
In a recent Facebook post, the actress admitted that seeing clips of her interviews appear on her social media feed makes her cringe. She even uses the “Not interested” option to hide them.
“When interviews of mine from different pages appear on my homepage, I find them so cringeworthy! I hide them by selecting ‘Not interested’,” she wrote.
Faria also explained that watching herself in videos or interviews feels strangely uncomfortable. She suspects that if she finds them irritating, other people might feel the same way.
“Believe me, this is why I never go on podcasts. Once I appear on one, I have to keep seeing the same thing for three months,” she added.
Her candid confession prompted an enthusiastic response from fans, many of whom disagreed with her assessment. Several said they enjoy listening to her speak and appreciate her thoughts.
One follower commented, “What are you saying? I actually enjoy listening to you.” Another wrote that they liked the way she expressed herself.
Faria began her career in showbiz through television commercials before making her acting debut in the 2013 drama ‘All Time Dourer Upor’. She made her big-screen debut in 2018 with the acclaimed film ‘Debi’.
Her performance in ‘Debi’ earned her the Bachsas Award for Best Supporting Actress and the Meril-Prothom Alo Award for Best Newcomer.
She has also received praise for her performances in popular web series such as ‘Munshigiri’ and ‘Mobaraknama’.
While Faria remains active in acting and regularly shares personal thoughts with her followers, her latest post has offered a humorous glimpse into why she prefers to stay away from podcast appearances.
