Aditya Roy Kapur is set to return to the musical romance genre with a new film produced by Bhushan Kumar and directed by Milap Milan Zaveri. The yet-untitled project marks another collaboration between the actor and Kumar after Aashiqui 2, Malang, Ludo and Metro… In Dino.
According to The Hollywood Reporter India, the film will blend intense romance, high-octane action and a music-driven narrative. Backed by T-Series, the project is being mounted on a grand scale and is expected to release in cinemas in 2027.
Bhushan Kumar said he has shared a long creative association with Aditya Roy Kapur through several successful films. He said every collaboration, from Aashiqui 2 to Metro… In Dino, has been special. Kumar added that they are reuniting for a story that is intense, emotional and designed on a grand scale.
Director Milap Milan Zaveri also praised the actor’s ability to portray sincere and emotional love stories. He said audiences have connected with Aditya since Aashiqui 2 through characters driven by passion and heartbreak. According to Zaveri, the new role is layered, emotionally complex and perfectly suited to the actor.
The filmmakers said the story will present love in its “most passionate form” through a combination of romance, action and a soulful soundtrack. They also described the film as an immersive theatrical experience with music at its core and emotionally driven storytelling.
The film is scheduled to go on floors later this year before arriving in cinemas in 2027.
