Abul Khair Group honoured 65 children of its employees for achieving GPA-5 in the Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary Certificate examinations, at a ceremony in the capital on Sunday, according to a press statement.
The programme, titled You Are the Builders of Tomorrow’s Bangladesh, was held at the National Shooting Club Auditorium. Of the awardees, 44 passed the Secondary School Certificate and 21 passed the Higher Secondary Certificate exams with the top grade.
Abul Khair Group Brand Marketing Director Naushad Chowdhury attended the event as chief guest. Ten Minute School Founder and CEO Ayman Sadiq joined as special guest.
Abul Khair Group Executive Director Brigadier General Retd Mohammed Mamun, Corporate Affairs and Legal Head Sheikh Shabab Ahmed, HR Divisional Head Saad Jasim and Assistant General Manager of HR Md Nurul Afsar were also present with senior officials of the group.
“This day celebrates the success of our family members and holds deep significance for us,” said chief guest Naushad Chowdhury.
“Every generation faces new challenges and the world is changing rapidly. Students must plan higher education keeping technology in focus,” he said.
“Skills now matter more than degrees. Young learners must work on building their abilities,” he added.
Brigadier General Retd Mohammed Mamun told students that there is no shortcut to success, emphasising perseverance and discipline.
Saad Jasim said students should develop multiple skills to stay relevant in the future.
“This year, even passing the exams was a challenge. Those who secured GPA-5 are truly exceptional,” said special guest Ayman Sadiq, encouraging parents to nurture children with care and urging students to keep learning new skills.
Each student received a crest, certificate and gift from the organisation. Teachers and parents were also present at the ceremony.
Abul Khair Group said it will organise a similar recognition programme in Chattogram soon, according to the release.
