Actor, voice actor and acting coach AK Azad Shetu has taken on the role of a cobbler in the newly released short film Song from the South.
Known primarily for his acting, Shetu has established himself as a versatile performer through a range of challenging roles.
Song from the South was released on YouTube on 14 August and has been receiving positive responses from viewers.
The short film was written by Mostasim Billah Aditya and Ahmed Hasan Sunny, who also directed the project.
Speaking about the audience response, Shetu said, “We have received a very good response since the short film was released. I did not expect it to receive this much appreciation. I am sincerely grateful to the audience and to Ahmed Hasan Sunny. I strongly want to take on more challenging characters like this in the future.”
Shetu has several other projects across television and OTT platforms.
His web series Headline is streaming on Hoichoi, while his web film Cha Gorom is available on Chorki.
He is also appearing in the television drama Khushbu, which is currently airing on Deepto TV.
His upcoming projects include the television drama AI Junior and Vicky Zahed’s drama Amader Neel Bari, which he has already completed.
Shetu is also awaiting the release of Tanmoy Surjo’s film Hangor.
Alongside acting, Shetu remains active as a voice actor and acting coach. He worked as an acting coach on Hangor and is set to take on the same role in another upcoming film.
