Pakistan’s former spinner Arshad Khan has taken charge of Bangladesh’s Under-19 spin department ahead of their upcoming five-match one-day series against Afghanistan. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed that Arshad, who joined earlier this year for the High-Performance Unit, will now work across all departments under a contract running until September 2027.
Arshad will remain with the youth team until next year’s Under-19 World Cup. He is currently in Bogura, working closely with captain Azizul Hakim Tamim and his squad in preparation for the Afghanistan series. Team management expects his presence to accelerate the development of young spinners such as Swadhin Islam and Ratul.
The series begins on 28 October in Bogura, followed by the second match on 31 October. The remaining three games will take place in Rajshahi on 3, 6, and 9 November.
