Bank Asia reaffirmed its commitment to employee well-being by organising a “Breast Cancer Awareness Program” on October 23 at its head office, aiming to raise awareness on early detection and preventive healthcare among female employees.
The initiative was arranged by the bank’s Human Resources Division as part of its broader efforts to foster a healthier and more informed workplace.
The day-long event included health check-up facilities provided by Sukhee, a healthcare initiative under Grameen Digital Health, and an interactive pickle station hosted by Dotline Group.
A key highlight of the programme was an awareness seminar conducted by United Hospital’s Dr Sarkar Kamrun Jahan Jhinuk, who discussed the importance of early diagnosis, regular screenings, and adopting preventive measures to reduce breast cancer risks.
Her session encouraged participants to take a proactive approach to their personal health and share awareness within their communities.
Through such initiatives, Bank Asia continues to strengthen its workplace wellness culture, ensuring that employees – especially women – are supported with knowledge, resources, and care that promotes both physical and emotional well-being, said a press release.
