Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has voiced disappointment over Afghanistan’s recent aggressive actions, saying they disregarded Pakistan’s longstanding support and gestures of goodwill.

In a post on X, Afridi recalled Pakistan’s consistent solidarity with its Afghan neighbours, including his personal efforts to aid 350 Afghan families during times of hardship. He expressed regret that these acts of assistance appear to have been overlooked, with Afghanistan instead responding with open hostility along the border.

Afridi commended the Pakistani forces for their measured and strong response to the aggression. He urged Afghanistan to reflect on their actions, reminding them that Pakistan remains a brotherly Islamic nation. He also warned against allowing external actors, particularly those supporting terrorist elements within Pakistan, to exploit the relationship between the two countries.
