Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has urged “not to create mess in the name of protests” that block roads and traffic movement in the capital.

According to a DMP media release, the traffic division is trying to reduce traffic congestion. However, it added that road blockades, regardless of the reasons, are causing widespread public suffering.  In the greater interest of citizens  and to ensure proper traffic management, the DMP has urged all stakeholders to avoid unnecessary road blockade.

It reminded the protesters that all students of schools, colleges, and universities, as well as office going commuters, are facing significant difficulties.

The statement further noted that these disruptions are also seriously affecting the movement of emergency patients and outbound international passengers of Hazrat Shah Jalal International Airport.
