A day-long Free Heart Camp was held at Universal Cardiac Hospital in Mohakhali, Dhaka, on Monday, marking World Heart Day.
The camp, which ran from 10 AM to 8 PM in front of Mohakhali RAOWA, offered specialized cardiac consultations free of cost to around 500 patients.
The camp featured consultations from renowned specialists including Prof Dr Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Chief Cardiac Surgeon, Prof Dr Khondaker Kamrul Islam, Chief Clinical & Interventional Cardiologist, Prof Dr Amal Kumar Chowdhury, Senior Clinical & Interventional Cardiologist, Brigadier General Prof Dr Mohammad Kamruzzaman, Senior Cardiovascular Surgeon, Dr Ashraful Haque Siam, Minimal Invasive Cardiac Surgeon, Dr Saniya Haque, Clinical & Interventional Cardiologist, Dr M A Hasnat, Clinical & Interventional Cardiologist & Medicine Specialist, Dr Romeina Rahman, Cardiovascular Surgeon, and Dr Abdul Jabbar Jibon, Pediatric Cardiologist.
Special heart camps were also organized at Prothom Alo office and SKS Shopping Mall in Mohakhali, along with several street camps across Dhaka to raise awareness about cardiovascular health.
A Cardiac Caravan toured various parts of Dhaka throughout the day, further promoting heart health awareness.
Additionally, a Free Heart Camp was held at Universal Medical Services Ltd on Jail Road in Brahmanbaria, where local patients received consultations from Dr Md Nazmul Haque, Assistant Professor (Cardiology) at Universal Medical College & Hospital.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness of cardiovascular health and provide access to specialist care for those in need.
