American tech company Starlink has leased a one-acre plot at Rajshahi Hi-Tech Park for 40 years. This reflects the rising interest from foreign tech investors in Bangladesh’s emerging technology hubs.
Local firm Bondstein Technologies, responsible for Starlink’s infrastructure development and management in Bangladesh, plans to establish a Robotics and IoT Research Centre within the park.
“We have secured the land from the government for multiple projects”, said Mir Shahrukh Islam, CEO of Bondstein Technologies. He explained that Bondstein had signed a contract with Starlink and was providing complete infrastructure and support services under the agreement.
“This initiative will significantly benefit Bangladesh and its technological ecosystem”, he added.
Starlink’s growing presence in Rajshahi is expected to bolster Bangladesh’s digital infrastructure and enhance the country’s broader technology ecosystem.
