With filming now in full swing at Warner Bros.’ Leavesden Studios in the UK, HBO’s upcoming “Harry Potter” series has revealed the casting for four of Ron Weasley’s siblings — Fred, George, Percy and Ginny.
Twins Tristan and Gabriel Harland will take on the roles of Fred and George Weasley, Ruari Spooner will play Percy and Gracie Cochrane has been cast as Ginny.
The announcement was accompanied by a photo of the on-screen siblings, including Alastair Stout as Ron, posing together for a selfie.
“Charlie’s in Romania at the moment but will be joining us soon enough…” read the caption on HBO’s Instagram post, referring to the family’s second eldest son, who relocated to Romania after graduating from Hogwarts to study dragons.
Casting for Bill Weasley, the eldest child originally played by Domhnall Gleeson in the films, has yet to be revealed.
HBO previously unveiled the first look at Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, followed by a teaser of a bearded Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid. Alongside McLaughlin as Harry and Stout as Ron, Arabella Stanton will portray Hermione Granger. The young trio were selected from over 30,000 actors who auditioned last autumn.
Filming for Season 1 is expected to continue until spring 2026, with Season 2 following a few months later. Each of the seven Harry Potter books will form the basis of a full season.
The series is scheduled to premiere in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max.
