Bangladesh Satellite Company Ltd (BSCL) has invited expressions of interest (EOI) from eligible entities to become “reseller partners” for promoting, operating and implementing Starlink products and services nationwide.
Under the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, selected BSCL partners will independently carry out service promotion, installation and post-installation support, revenue collection and other responsibilities as per agreement.
Applicants must have legal, technical and financial capacity and meet at least one qualifying condition – a nationwide internet service provider (ISP) licence from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), a cable television (TV) operator licence from Bangladesh Television (BTV), or status as an information and communication technology (ICT) or electronics equipment manufacturer, supplier or distributor with relevant licences and experience.
They must also have the capacity to make a Tk3 crore pre-payment, adjustable against purchases.
The deadline for application submission is 5pm on August 27 this year at the Dhaka office of BSCL. An online briefing will be held for interested parties, with registration closing on 19 August, followed by a pre-expression of interest meeting on 20 August.
Required documents include a signed letter on company letterhead, copies of relevant regulatory licences, a valid trade licence, latest tax return and taxpayer identification number (TIN), value-added tax (VAT) registration, and audit reports for the past two years.
Interested parties will also have to submit proof of at least two years’ experience in the relevant sector, a client list, details of sales and technical teams, proof from a recognised bank of the Tk3 crore pre-payment capacity, and a declaration confirming no record of fraud, blacklisting or regulatory violations.
