bKash has received the ‘Visa Excellence in Wallet Partnership’ award for its performance and collaboration in advancing digital wallet solutions, according to a press statement issued on Tuesday.
bKash Founder and Chief Executive Officer Kamal Quadir received the award from Bangladesh Bank Executive Director Arief Hossain Khan at the Visa Leadership Conclave Bangladesh 2025, held recently at a city hotel. Visa Group Country Manager for India and South Asia Sandeep Ghosh, Visa Country Manager Sabbir Ahmed and bKash Chief Commercial Officer Ali Ahmmed were also present.
Through wallet partnerships, bKash has facilitated faster, safer and easier transactions by connecting with banks and financial institutions, card payment systems, international remittance providers, e-commerce platforms, ride-sharing services, food delivery companies and other service providers. These collaborations have expanded access to diverse digital financial services for a wider customer base.
This year, Visa recognised 17 organisations from Bangladesh’s banking, fintech and retail sectors for their achievements. A total of 30 awards were presented, covering categories including fintech, merchant acceptance, e-commerce, cross-border payments, Visa debit and credit card operations, and commercial cards.
