NRBC Bank has been awarded the ‘Excellence in Visa Debit Cards Business Associate Client – 2025’ for its significant contributions to Bangladesh’s digital payments sector.

Dr Md Touhidul Alam Khan, managing director and CEO of NRBC Bank, received the award from Arief Hossain Khan, executive director of the Payment Systems Department and Spokesperson of Bangladesh Bank, during the Visa Leadership Conclave at the Sheraton Hotel in Dhaka.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Ahsan H Mansur as the chief guest was present at event, which celebrated the achievements of major financial players in the country, says a press release.
Dr Mansur praised the contributions of the organisations present, recognising their role in advancing Bangladesh’s digital payments landscape.

Other distinguished guests included Sabbir Ahmed, country manager of Visa for Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal, Kazi Md Safayet Kabir, head of Retail Business and Financial Inclusion Division at NRBC Bank, and senior officials from various banking and financial institutions.

Dr Md Touhidul Alam Khan expressed enthusiasm about the honour and shared plans to expand the bank’s credit card network, focusing on serving CMSME and microfinance clients across the country.
