The official logo (monogram) of Bangladesh Police is set to change, replacing the existing one, with only the formal gazette notification pending.
According to state news agency BSS, the new logo will no longer feature the traditional boat symbol. Instead, it will display the national flower Shapla (water lily) resting on water, encircled by garlands of wheat and paddy, and topped with three jute leaves.
Additionally, the word “Police“ will be written in Bangla beneath the point where the wheat and paddy garlands meet.
On Thursday (April 10), an official order was issued by Additional Deputy Inspector General (Logistics) Nasima Akter from the Police Headquarters, instructing all concerned units to prepare the updated logo for use on flags, signboards, uniforms, and other official materials at the district and unit levels.
The order stated that the new logo has already received approval from the appropriate authority and is now awaiting the official gazette notification. It further added that the logo was finalised as part of the implementation process to replace the current emblem of Bangladesh Police.
