Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) President Tabith Awal expressed deep sorrow over the tragic air crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara, which claimed multiple lives and left many injured, including students.
In an official message, Tabith Awal said the federation was “deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic incident”. He offered prayers for the departed souls and wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the accident.
“We pray for the forgiveness of those students who lost their lives and wish quick recovery for all who were injured. In this moment of grief, we extend our deepest condolences and solidarity to the families of the victims and to members of the Bangladesh Air Force,” the BFF President stated.
At least one person died and over 100 were injured after a Bangladesh Air Force F-7 training jet crashed into the campus on Sunday afternoon. The impact caused widespread panic and severe damage, with many students suffering burn injuries. Firefighters, army personnel, and emergency teams quickly responded to the site, evacuating the wounded to nearby hospitals.
The Bangladesh Air Force has launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. Rescue efforts continued through the evening.
