Prince William is reportedly enjoying growing attention from Hollywood celebrities, with an insider claiming the Prince of Wales takes satisfaction in building his own celebrity connections amid his strained relationship with Prince Harry.
According to Reality Tea, William made a surprise appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” on 23 October, where he discussed the Earthshot Prize and joined actress Cate Blanchett, conservationist Robert Irwin, actress Hannah Waddingham and singer Jorja Smith on the programme.
The appearance allowed William to discuss his environmental initiative alongside conversations about film and television, reaching audiences beyond his usual royal engagements. A source told Star that the response at Buckingham Palace had been positive, suggesting that more entertainment-show appearances could follow.
“The feedback at the palace has been great, so expect more of that sort of thing,” the insider said.
The source maintained that promoting his charitable causes remains William’s primary motivation, but claimed his growing presence in celebrity circles also carries a personal element.
“There’s also a certain satisfaction in showing Harry that he’s got him beat in the Hollywood popularity game,” the insider added.
William’s reported celebrity connections include David and Victoria Beckham, actor Tom Cruise, singer Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce. According to the source, the future king is pleased with the relationships he has developed and increasingly comfortable engaging with high-profile figures.
The claims come amid continued public interest in the strained relationship between William and Harry, who stepped back from their senior royal roles in 2020 and subsequently established separate public lives.
