A lyricist’s contribution to a hit song often receives less attention than the singer’s performance, but Robiul Islam Jibon’s latest YouTube milestone puts his work firmly in the spotlight.
Thirty-seven songs written by the Bangladeshi lyricist have each crossed one crore views, accumulating approximately 1.224b views altogether.
The list features a wide range of music, from romantic hits to patriotic anthems and film songs. Leading the count is ‘Jonom Jonom’, performed by Imran and Porshi, with around 107.7m views.
‘Konna’, featuring Imran and Kona, follows with approximately 99.5m, while ‘Eto Kache’, sung by Kazi Shuvo and Puja, has gathered nearly 93.8m.
Other popular tracks include Imran’s ‘Raatbhor’, Tahsan’s ‘Keu Na Januk’ and several songs that have crossed the 40m to 60m-view range. Even the 37th entry, Liza’s ‘Pagli Suraiya’, has surpassed the 10-million mark.
The achievement stands out not because of one viral release, but because of the sustained popularity of songs across Jibon’s catalogue. Artists including Imran, Tahsan, Porshi, Minar, Kona, Baby Naznin and Doorbin have performed his lyrics, which continue to reach listeners through playlists, shares and repeat streams.
Jibon’s career extends well beyond digital figures. He has written nearly 1,000 released songs and received the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Lyricist in 2022 for ‘Dheere Dheere’, from the film ‘Poran’. He has also won the Channel i Music Award for Best Lyricist three times, in 2009, 2010 and 2015.
Over the years, his writing has moved across albums, films, television dramas, theme songs and sports anthems. Among his notable works is ‘Jole Utho Bangladesh’, associated with the country’s World Cup-era musical celebrations.
The combined figure of approximately 1.224b views represents the 37 songs that had crossed one crore views each as of 1 November 2026.
It does not account for his entire catalogue, but offers a snapshot of the reach of his most widely viewed work.
For a songwriter whose contribution can sometimes remain behind the spotlight, the numbers offer a striking measure of audience reach.
With 37 individual songs crossing the one-crore threshold, Jibon has built a digital record that places the lyricist’s name alongside some of Bangladesh’s most popular musical performances.
