Bangladeshi model and actress Jannatul Ferdous Oishee has alerted fans to a fake Facebook account operating under her name, clarifying that she has no personal account on the platform.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, 28 October, Oishee warned people about the impersonation after the account reportedly sent friend requests to several members of the entertainment industry, causing confusion.
Sharing a screenshot of the fake profile on her official Facebook page, the actress said the account was not hers. She added that several people from the media industry had contacted her after receiving friend requests from the profile and confirmed the matter directly with her.
Oishee stressed that her official Facebook page was her only account on the platform. She also urged people to report the fake profile, if possible, and thanked those who had recognised the impersonation and supported her.
