Addressing a question on whether Monthly Pay Order (MPO)-enlisted teachers can participate in local government elections, Asaduzzaman clarified that existing law does not prevent MPO-listed teachers from contesting local polls. He noted that teachers would be able to take part in the elections in the same manner as they did previously.

Responding to allegations of irregularities in the appointment of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) fertiliser dealers, the minister said he had received no reports of any irregularities.
