Nushrratt Bharuccha has returned home to recover after undergoing successful spine surgery following an accident in Bali. The actor has been discharged from hospital, but her team says a full recovery will take time and she will need rest before resuming her professional commitments.
According to Hindustan Times, Nushrratt suffered a spinal fracture during a trip to Bali that combined work and leisure. She initially received treatment in Indonesia before travelling to Mumbai by air ambulance for further care and surgery.
In a statement on 15 October, her team confirmed that the operation had gone well and that doctors had discharged her. She is now surrounded by care and comfort at home, remaining positive as she focuses on healing and regaining her strength.
The team thanked fans and well-wishers for their love, concern, prayers and support during the difficult period. Videos of Nushrratt’s arrival in Mumbai had earlier sparked concern, showing her on a stretcher in hospital clothes, with a tube in her nose and an intravenous drip attached to her hand.
Her publicist had confirmed the accident and said her health was the immediate priority. The team also warned that recovery could affect her professional commitments in the coming weeks.
Upcoming projects
Before the accident, Nushrratt appeared in Netflix’s Ufff Yeh Siyapaa, a silent comedy thriller featuring Sohum Shah and Nora Fatehi. Released on 31 October 2025, the film follows an ordinary man whose life spirals into chaos after a series of absurd mix-ups. Nushrratt plays Pushpa.
She is also set to star opposite Tiger Shroff in an untitled action film directed by Remo D’Souza. The project reunites the actor and director after A Flying Jatt (2016). Backed by Vicky Jain’s newly launched banner, VJ Frames, the film has reportedly wrapped shooting.
