Salman’s appearance is particularly noteworthy as he returns to the show for its final chapter. The actor previously appeared on Koffee With Karan during its fourth season, when he was accompanied by his father, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan.

He later featured in the programme’s 100th episode during Season 5, alongside his brothers Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan.

This time, Salman will appear on the show on his own, reuniting with Karan for a conversation that could revisit their longstanding friendship, previous interactions and the actor’s career.

The teaser also indicates that the duo will retain the candid exchanges and playful questioning that have become synonymous with the programme.

Karan recently confirmed that the upcoming ninth season would be the final instalment of Koffee With Karan, bringing an end to a journey that began in 2004.

Over the years, the show has become a prominent fixture of Bollywood entertainment, drawing some of the industry’s biggest names into conversations about their careers, relationships, personal lives and professional rivalries.

Its rapid-fire rounds, celebrity confessions and controversial revelations have frequently sparked conversations among audiences, making it one of India’s most recognisable celebrity chat shows.

Reflecting on the programme’s legacy, Karan acknowledged the memorable encounters, friendships and controversies that shaped its run. He also expressed gratitude to viewers who continued to watch, discuss and engage with the show throughout its many seasons.

The filmmaker described the decision to conclude the programme as an emotional but appropriate step, signalling that he was ready to bring the long-running series to a close.

The ninth season of Koffee With Karan is scheduled to premiere on 14 October 2026 on JioHotstar. Salman Khan will lead the opening episode, while the complete guest line-up for the final season has not yet been officially confirmed.

Several prominent names, including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan, have been mentioned in reports about potential appearances. Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have also been linked to speculation surrounding the guest list.

However, these reported appearances remain unconfirmed.

As the show prepares to serve its final cup of coffee, Salman’s return offers a fitting opening to a season expected to celebrate its legacy while delivering the candid conversations and light-hearted exchanges that have kept audiences entertained for more than two decades.
