TWICE member Nayeon surprised fans by joining American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth on stage for a duet at his concert in Goyang, South Korea, on Sunday.
According to The Straits Times, the K-pop star appeared during Puth’s Whatever’s Clever! world tour at Goyang Stadium on October 11, performing his 2016 hit We Don’t Talk Anymore, originally recorded with Selena Gomez.
Nayeon took Gomez’s part, exchanging vocal lines with Puth as the pair sang and danced together. The unexpected appearance drew loud cheers from the audience, with around 38,000 fans attending the concert, according to local media reports.
After the performance, Nayeon thanked the crowd and embraced Puth before leaving the stage. The American singer encouraged the audience to cheer for her as she exited.
Speculation about a possible guest appearance had circulated online before the concert, following reports that a TWICE member had been spotted rehearsing at the venue.
However, neither Puth’s team nor TWICE’s agency, JYP Entertainment, has announced a collaboration between the two artists.
The performance adds to Puth’s history of working with K-pop stars. He previously collaborated with BTS member Jungkook on the 2022 single Left and Right, further strengthening his ties with the Korean music industry.
