A trainee of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party has received a final job offer in Seychelles after completing refrigeration and air conditioning training at the force’s Regional Technical Training Centre in Dinajpur.

Mohammad Murad Hossain, a resident of Bishpara village in Badalgachhi upazila of Naogaon, secured the opportunity through technical skills acquired at the centre, reads a press release.

His achievement highlights the force’s ongoing efforts to develop skills and create employment opportunities for its members after training.

Murad completed training in refrigeration and air conditioning at the Regional Technical Training Centre of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force in Dinajpur.

He has since been able to explore employment opportunities in the international labour market using his technical skills.

According to the relevant authorities, his visa and other necessary documents are expected to be sent from Seychelles within the next three months.

As part of the final selection process for the job in Seychelles, the concerned authorities interviewed Murad online.

The force arranged for him to attend the interview at the Ansar-VDP Academy in Shafipur, Gazipur.

The commander of the Ansar Battalion in Shafipur and the director of the Project Training Directorate at the force’s headquarters provided overall assistance during the process.

Their support helped facilitate the trainee’s access to overseas employment, reflecting the force’s efforts to link technical training with job opportunities.

In July this year, Murad secured a job at an establishment under PRAN-RFL Group with the assistance of the Naogaon district Ansar and VDP office. He had also received a job offer in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, but could not travel there at the time due to family problems, he said.

His final job offer in Seychelles has opened up a new opportunity to advance his career by applying the technical skills he acquired through training.

The Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party is conducting a range of training programmes to develop members’ skills and create employment opportunities in line with the demands of domestic and international labour markets.

The programmes include Japanese language courses at N4 and N5 levels, 6G welding, masonry, driving and other demand-based technical and vocational training.

Cultural adaptation programmes are also being implemented.

A mobile IT training bus has recently been added to support the development of computer and information technology skills.

The force is also continuing efforts to coordinate with foreign organisations and provide post-training assistance to connect trainees with actual employment opportunities.

Murad’s final job offer in Seychelles after completing refrigeration and air conditioning training demonstrates the practical application and potential effectiveness of these employment-oriented initiatives.

Such efforts could contribute to developing a skilled workforce, expanding employment opportunities at home and abroad, and improving the socioeconomic conditions of the force’s members.
