The inter-university photography exhibition “Beyond the Frames- Season 2” has begun at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), bringing together young photographers from universities across Bangladesh. The two-day exhibition was inaugurated on Wednesday at UAP Plaza that will end on Thursday.

Participating organisations include CUET Photographic Society, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Photographic Society, KUET Photographic Society, BUBT Photography Club, IUBAT Films and Photography, Jashore University of Science and Technology Photographic Society, Noakhali Science and Technology University Photography Club, BRAC University Art and Photography Society, Bangladesh University of Textiles Photographic Society, Bangladesh University of Professionals Photography Society, BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology Photography Club and Daffodil International University Photographic Society, said a press release.

Displayed works cover nature, people, urban life, architecture, culture and everyday experiences.

Photographer Hasan Saifuddin Chandan is serving as judge at the event. A street and documentary photographer, he is a founding member of MAP Photo Agency, an FIAP Gold Medalist of Bangladesh, and a former photography faculty member at the Department of Architecture of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.

UAP Acting Vice-Chancellor Abu Sayeed M Ahmed, UAP School of Engineering Dean G R Ahmed Jamal, UAP Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Head and Associate A H M Zadidul Karim and UAP EEE Assistant Professor and LenScape UAP EEE Photography Club Convener Md Masum Howlader attended the inaugural ceremony.

The exhibition is open to members of participating photography clubs, students, photography enthusiasts and visitors.
