Among the dramas she considers particularly memorable are Golapi Kamiz, directed by Mahidul Mahim, and Rajkumar, directed by Rubel Hasan.

She appeared opposite popular actor Ziaul Faruk Apurba in both productions.

Her film journey began with Giasuddin Selim’s Monpura. She later appeared in Dhaka Attack, Mission Extreme, Amar Swapno Amar Songsar and the Kolkata films Nirikshon and Chalbaaz.

Two of her upcoming films, Jamoj Bhuter Golpo, directed by Mizanur Rahman Labu, and Alok Hasan’s Nakphul, are awaiting release.

Born on 10 June, Mou Shikha says her love for acting has kept her going despite the challenges of working in the industry.

“I became involved in acting because of my love and strong interest in it. Staying in this profession is a challenge every day, but I continue to wait for a good character. Sometimes I find roles that match my expectations, while at other times I accept work out of necessity even when I do not particularly like it. I always try to act with sincerity, and I want to keep acting until the end of my life,” she said.

Mou Shikha remains grateful to the audiences who continue to watch her work and encourage her.

For an actress who began her journey on stage and once competed in a beauty contest, her career has evolved across theatre, television and cinema while keeping her connected with viewers.
