Bangladesh pacers Hasan Mahmud and Khaled Ahmed played important roles as Kent secured promotion to Division One of the County Championship.
Kent confirmed their promotion during their final round match against Gloucestershire. They are guaranteed to finish in the top two of Division Two regardless of the result.
Hasan impressed for Kent earlier in the season before returning to Bangladesh. The pacer took 26 wickets in just four County Championship matches for Kent.
Khaled then joined the county for the final part of their promotion push.
Khaled took three wickets in the first innings against Gloucestershire. He dismissed Daaryoush Ahmed, Sai Kishore and Che Simmons.
He added two more wickets in the second innings. Khaled removed Miles Hammond and Daaryoush and finished with 2 for 67 from 21 overs.
Gloucestershire were bowled out for 241, leaving Kent a target of 118 runs.
Hasan and Khaled also played together for Kent before Hasan returned home. The two Bangladesh pacers made important contributions during Kent’s successful push for promotion.
Kent will now return to Division One after spending this season in the second tier.
