Nischup Bristy is regarded as one of the sweetest and most melodious voices among singers of her generation in Bangladesh. Listeners have enjoyed several popular songs in her voice over the years.

Recently, a song Bristy recorded many years ago was released on YouTube. Titled ‘Aj Amar Jonakira’, the song was written by Abul Hossain. GM Rahman Rony composed the music and also sang the song with Bristy.

“I actually recorded the song a long time ago. I do not know why it took so long to be released. Still, I am happy that it has finally been released. I loved the lyrics and melody when I recorded it. I would request listeners to give the song a listen,” Bristy said.

Her first song of this year was ‘Shotti Kore Bolchi Toke’, written and composed by Riyad Anik. Before that, she lent her voice to ‘Ghum Ghum Chokh’. Some of her other notable songs include ‘Aj Bhalobashona’, ‘Ami Nei Amate’, ‘Jodi Hathta Dhoro’, ‘Kichu Kotha’ and ‘Bolo Sathiya’.

Bristy began her professional music career through the ‘Bangladeshi Idol’ competition in 2013, where she finished seventh.

She has also earned praise through stage performances in Italy, Japan, Poland, France, South Korea, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

However, her journey to her current position was not easy. Her father, Nazrul Islam Bachchu, died in a bomb attack in 2001. He was also the person who first introduced Bristy to music.

Her mother, Hamida Islam, worked as a music teacher at the Narayanganj District Shilpakala Academy. After her father’s death, her mother played a key role in helping her continue her musical journey.

Alongside music, Bristy recently launched an online clothing store named ‘B Elegance’ to keep herself engaged in another venture. She plans to move forward with both music and B Elegance.

Bristy made her playback singing debut in the film Hridoy Jure.
