Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy will host a series of film masterclasses featuring four prominent contemporary directors.
Organised jointly by the academy’s Production and Training Department, the sessions will take place on 11, 12, 13 and 28 September at the seminar room of the National Theatre Hall.
Directors Tanim Noor, Raihan Rafi, Mezbaur Rahman Sumon and Mohammad Touqir Islam will conduct the classes.
Film students from universities across the country and young filmmakers will be able to attend the masterclasses free of charge.
Drawing on their professional experiences, the four directors will discuss different stages of filmmaking, from developing an idea and writing a screenplay to production and post-production.
They will also share the challenges they faced while making their films and how they overcame them.
Interested applicants must submit their name, CV or bio-filmography, preview links to their completed films and mobile number to the director of the Training Department by 9 September.
