Filmmaker-producer-actor Raj Chakraborty and actress Mimi Chakraborty are reportedly set to work together again after years of distance.
After an 11-year gap and a period of personal differences, Mimi is returning under Raj Chakraborty’s production banner.
Whatever their equation may have been away from the cameras, the Raj-Mimi combination has previously delivered several successful projects that won over audiences on both sides of Bengal.
Mimi was last seen under Raj’s direction in the 2015 film Katmundu. Before that, the duo worked together on films including Bojhena Shey Bojhena, Proloy and Yoddha, earning considerable appreciation from moviegoers.
Their relationship later reportedly went through a difficult phase, leading the two stars to maintain their distance for more than a decade.
According to media reports, the ice between them has recently begun to melt. Raj Chakraborty’s production house, Raj Entertainment Ventures, has reportedly approached Mimi with a new project.
The film is being made for an OTT platform and will be directed by Ayan Chakraborty.
Mimi has reportedly responded positively to the proposal after being impressed by the script and her character.
If everything proceeds as planned, shooting for the project is expected to begin towards the end of this month.
The reunion of Raj and Mimi has already sparked fresh curiosity among Tollywood followers, with audiences across both Bengals looking forward to seeing the popular pair share the screen again.
