After completing his scheduled engagements, he returned home exactly two months after leaving Bangladesh.

Shakib departed Dhaka for the US on a late-night flight on 2 July. Before leaving that day, he also signed a contract to star in a new film directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy.

Production on the upcoming film is expected to begin soon.

Before starting work on the new project, Shakib is scheduled to shoot several remaining scenes for his film Soldier next week.

He will then move on to the new film and become busy with its production.

Shakib’s trips to the United States are not unusual. He has travelled there several times in the past for film-related work, family commitments and personal reasons.

The actor is also a US green card holder, which requires him to spend a certain period of time in the country each year.

His latest two-month stay was also partly in accordance with that requirement, alongside his personal and business commitments.
