A new address, a new experience and a new vision as the Bangladeshi luxury fashion house brings together heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary design

Bangladeshi luxury fashion house House of Ahmed has opened a new outlet at Ventura Mall in Gulshan-2, marking what the brand describes as the beginning of its “Chapter 2.”

Spread across approximately 4,500 square feet over two floors, the new outlet brings together the brand’s couture, bridal, festive and premium collections while introducing a more personalized approach to the customer experience. A press conference was held in the afternoon to mark the opening, followed by an intimate evening gathering attended by loyal customers, celebrities, models, fashion personalities and friends of the brand, said in a press release.

Speaking about the new chapter, Ahmed Tuhin Reza, Co-Founder of House of Ahmed, said the brand’s recent experiences had encouraged it to rethink its direction and strengthen its long-term vision. “Chapter 2 is deeply personal for us. What we have experienced has tested us in ways we had not anticipated, but it has also reminded us why we started House of Ahmed in the first place,” he said.

“We believe Bangladesh has the talent, craftsmanship and heritage to create luxury that can stand proudly anywhere in the world. Chapter 2 is not about going back to where we were; it is about moving forward with greater clarity, stronger purpose and an even bigger ambition.” House of Ahmed has positioned Bangladeshi heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary design at the centre of its work. The brand seeks to bring South Asian artistry into modern couture while maintaining a distinctly Bangladeshi identity.

Traditional craftsmanship, including Zardosi and Bangladeshi Jamdani, forms part of the brand’s broader effort to present local textile traditions and artisanal skills to a wider audience. The new outlet has been designed as more than a conventional retail space. Customers can explore curated collections while also accessing dedicated areas for couture, bridal and bespoke consultations.

The brand’s bespoke service allows clients to work with its team on silhouettes, fabrics, colours, embroidery, detailing and finishing. Couture and bridal clients can also opt for personalized consultations and private appointments. Alongside its signature couture and occasion wear, the new outlet introduces the “Friday Signature Collection”, aimed at bringing premium fashion into more every day and versatile wardrobes.

House of Ahmed also plans to introduce specially curated, exclusive and limited-edition pieces as part of its new chapter. For Tenzila Elma, Co-Founder of House of Ahmed, the new phase represents both a creative and emotional evolution for the brand. “For us, luxury has always been about more than a garment. It is about the hands that create it, the stories woven into it and the culture that gives it meaning,” she said. “We want House of Ahmed to become a name that represents the beauty of Bangladesh with confidence where our heritage is not simply preserved but reimagined for a new generation and a global audience.”

More than 500 artisans are currently involved in the brand’s production ecosystem, working across embroidery, hand embellishment, textile work, finishing and other traditional techniques. Depending on the complexity of a design, a highly detailed couture piece can take several weeks or even months to complete. This craftsmanship is central to House of Ahmed’s “Luxury Made in Bangladesh” philosophy, which goes beyond the geographical origin of production to emphasize Bangladeshi creativity, craftsmanship and cultural identity.

Another major development under Chapter 2 is “Ilaf”, a new proposition aimed at younger and more versatile customers. While House of Ahmed remains focused on couture, bridal and occasion-led luxury, Ilaf will offer a more fluid interpretation of tradition at a comparatively accessible price point. With the new outlet, House of Ahmed plans to strengthen its presence in Bangladesh while gradually expanding its retail and international footprint. The brand ultimately aims to establish itself as a recognized South Asian luxury fashion house with Bangladesh at its heart and a global audience in sight.

For House of Ahmed, Chapter 2 therefore represents not merely a new retail address, but an effort to refine its design language, deepen customer relationships and bring Bangladeshi craftsmanship into the contemporary global luxury conversation.
