Gold prices in Bangladesh rose again on Tuesday, with the rate of 22‑carat gold increasing by Tk1,633 per bhori.

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) said in a press release that its Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring finalised the new rates at a meeting held at 9am.

The revised prices took effect from 10am.

Under the new list, 22‑carat gold now costs Tk247,743 per bhori, 21‑carat Tk236,604, and 18‑carat Tk203,187. Gold sold under the traditional (Sanatan) method has been set at Tk165,920 per bhori.
