A water bottle was thrown towards the stage while Ark vocalist Hasan was performing at a concert held on Manik Mia Avenue to mark the anniversary of the July mass uprising.
Titled Barsha Biplober Gaan, the concert was organised by Monsoon Cultural Alliance and featured several popular Bangladeshi bands and singers.
Videos circulating on social media show a bottle being thrown from the audience towards the stage while Hasan was performing.
The incident sparked discussion and criticism online, with many calling for greater security for artists at public cultural events.
However, Hasan responded to the incident calmly and said he did not take it personally.
“I did not mind it at all. Perhaps someone made a mistake. I hope nothing like this happens to anyone else in the future,” he said.
The incident has continued to draw reactions on social media, with several musicians and celebrities calling for better security arrangements at concerts.
Many also described the incident as unfortunate and unacceptable, saying that differences in opinion or personal dislike should never justify such behaviour towards an artist.
