Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) observed July Mass Uprising Day 2026 on Tuesday through various programmes.
BARI Director General Md Manjurul Kadir led a rally attended by scientists, officials, employees and workers to lay wreaths at the July Martyr Memorial Monument in the morning, reads a press release.
Among those present were BARI Director (Training and Communication) Reshma Sultana, Director (Research) Faruk Ahmed, Director (Horticulture Research Centre) Kawsar Uddin Ahmed, Director (Kandal Crop Research Centre) Nirmal Kumar Dutta, Director (Planning and Evaluation) Habib Mohammad Naser and Director (Service and Supply) Md Mosharraf Hossain Molla.
A light exhibition titled “Bloody July” was also held at the BARI headquarters.
Later, following Zuhr prayers, special prayers were offered at BARI’s central mosque for the peace and progress of the nation, the forgiveness of the departed souls of the July martyrs, and the good health of the July fighters.
Similar special prayers were held at temples and churches.
