A viral social media post claiming that Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan voiced support for the student protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar has been proven false after no such statement was found on the actor’s verified social media accounts.
The widely shared screenshot claimed the Dunki star had expressed solidarity with the protesting students, praising their movement and stating that he stood with them “emotionally and morally”. The post quickly gained traction online, prompting many users to believe Shah Rukh Khan had publicly commented on the issue.
However, a review of the actor’s verified accounts on Instagram and X found no such post. Neither platform carried any statement from Shah Rukh Khan regarding the ongoing demonstrations.
Reports suggest the confusion began after a fan account using Shah Rukh Khan’s name shared updates about the protests. Some social media users mistakenly assumed the posts had originated from the actor’s official account.
As the screenshot continued to circulate, several users challenged its authenticity. One user commented, “Fake.” Another wrote, “This is fake.” A third questioned, “He hasn’t posted anything. Why are you spreading fake news?” Another user simply wrote, “Fake hai.”
Shah Rukh Khan has not issued any public response to the ongoing protest. The Jawan actor has remained focused on his upcoming film, King.
The demonstrations at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar drew thousands of students and supporters following the Chalo Sansad march.
As of now, Shah Rukh Khan has not released any verified statement regarding the protest.
