Brigadier General (retd) AKM Shamsul Islam, defence adviser to the prime minister visited the Dhaka campus of Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB) on Wednesday.
He was received by AAUB Vice-Chancellor Air Vice Marshal M Mustafizur Rahman, senior university officials and faculty members were also present during the visit, reads a press release.
The adviser was briefed on the university’s achievements in the field of aviation and aerospace, as well as its ongoing research activities.
He also toured the specialised laboratories at the Dhaka campus and inspected the facilities available for teachers, students and researchers.
Expressing satisfaction with the university’s overall capacity and activities, he stressed the importance of working in collaboration with other domestic institutions engaged in aviation and aerospace to support national development.
