The romantic track features Yash and Kiara sharing several intimate moments across scenic locations, creating a visually striking backdrop for their characters’ relationship. The video also includes brief appearances by Nayanthara, who plays Yash’s aide, and Tara Sutaria, who portrays his mistress.

The music video opens with a quote by the 13th-century poet Rumi: “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.”

The filmmakers had released the audio version of Tabaahi in March before unveiling the full music video. Composer Vishal Mishra created the song, while separate lyricists wrote the lyrics for each language. Raj Shekhar penned the Hindi version, Yogaraj Bhat the Kannada version, Ramajogayya Sastry the Telugu version, Vignesh Shivan the Tamil version and Rafeeq Ahammed the Malayalam version.

The makers first introduced the song with a poster in February, showing Yash and Kiara standing close together by the sea. The image hinted at the film’s romantic and intense tone.

Toxic has already released three teasers. The first introduced the film’s dark and violent world, while the second revealed Yash in a clean-shaven look. The latest teaser, however, sparked criticism from some viewers over its portrayal of female characters.

The teaser opens with a disclaimer before moving to a beach sequence featuring Yash. It later introduces Nayanthara in an action sequence, followed by Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth. The teaser ends with Yash holding a revolver inside a woman’s mouth, underlining the film’s adult themes. A female voiceover reflects on love and deception throughout the teaser, which carries the caption, “Ladies and Ladies.”

The release date of Toxic has changed several times. The film is now scheduled to arrive in cinemas on August 26 after earlier release plans for March 19 and June 4.
The producers previously said they delayed the release to align the film’s worldwide distribution strategy. They also cited the Middle East conflict while announcing the revised schedule. Yash later said the team wanted to ensure the film reached global audiences with the impact it deserved.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film was shot in Kannada and English and will also release in dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The project had earlier drawn attention for the bold depiction of sensuality in its teaser.
