Dhallywood actress Nusraat Faria has spoken about the struggles, pressure and constant criticism that come with fame, saying success in the entertainment industry requires relentless hard work and resilience.
Speaking at a recent event, Faria reflected on her personal journey and the emotional challenges behind her public image.
“Nothing in life comes without struggle,” she said, recalling how she worked hard academically but was never among the top students. According to the actress, her mother taught her that effort itself is part of the process and that there is “no alternative to hard work”.
Nusraat Faria, who has worked in films, music and hosting, said she still experiences anxiety before facing the camera or stepping onto a stage despite years of experience.
“I still feel nervous every time I perform, as if it’s my first and last take,” she said.
The actress also described the pressure of constantly maintaining a perfect public image in the entertainment industry.
“Fame may look glamorous, but there is a daily struggle to look, speak and perform perfectly,” she said.
Addressing online criticism, Faria said celebrities are frequently judged for even minor changes in appearance or mistakes.
“If we gain a little weight or say something wrong, criticism begins immediately,” she added. “We have no option but to keep giving our best.”
