Bangladesh state minister for youth and sports Aminul Haque visited an injured young footballer Sohada on Tuesday morning at the National Institute of Neurosciences in Dhaka and confirmed full financial support for her treatment.
Sohada, a student of Bhaiashuty High School in Kaliganj, Gazipur, suffered a road accident on Monday after taking part in the ‘Notun Kuri’ competition at Shaheed Barkat Stadium. Doctors moved her from a local facility to the capital for advanced care and observation.
The minister spoke with doctors at her bedside and reviewed her condition in detail. He then addressed the player directly, saying, “You are a fighter on the field, you must win this battle as well. Do not fear, we are all with you.”
Officials confirmed that Aminul Haque will cover the full cost of treatment through personal support and ministry backing. He also instructed medical staff to ensure no gaps in care as the player undergoes recovery.
Injuries at grassroots level often disrupt careers before players reach professional pathways. The intervention in this case brings immediate financial clarity for the family and ensures uninterrupted medical support during a critical phase.
